STATEMENT
Over more than twenty five years I have been living in different West European countries, being fascinated by cultural and social approaches, so diverse from those I experienced during my childhood in Hungary, under the socialist regime. Combining my background and the experiences faced as an immigrant, I developed an interest for the relationship between personal identity, culture of origin and need for integration.
My projects are usually connected to the socio-cultural context I live in and inspired by my daily life. The urban space is crucial in my work as well as the connections between the political, cultural and historical context.

STATEMENT
Per oltre venticinque anni ho vissuto in diversi Stati dell‘Europa Occidentale, affascinata da consuetudini culturali e sociali così diverse rispetto a quelle che hanno fatto da sfondo alla mia infanzia in Ungheria, durante il regime socialista. Dal sincretismo tra questi due aspetti – il mio background, da un lato, e le esperienze da immigrata, dall‘altro –, ho sviluppato un interesse verso la relazione che intercorre tra i concetti di identità personale, cultura d‘origine e necessità di integrazione.
I miei progetti sono solitamente connessi al contesto socioculturale in cui vivo e lavoro, e ispirati dal mio vivere quotidiano. Cruciale, nel mio lavoro, è lo spazio urbano; così come la realtà politica, cuturale e storica che mi circonda.
